Terms of Use

Australia Citizenship Test (iOS and Android)

Effective date: 29 September 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of the Australia Citizenship Test app ("the app", "we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Important: this app is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Australian Government or the Department of Home Affairs. Using it does not guarantee that you will pass the citizenship test. Always check official Home Affairs information.

1. What the app is

The app helps you prepare for the Australian citizenship test with practice questions, practice tests, study material and progress tools. Some features are free. Others need PRO, which you can buy as a subscription or as a one-time purchase.

2. Study aid only: no guarantee of passing

We don't promise or guarantee that you will pass the Australian citizenship test, or any particular result. Practice tests are designed to reflect the real test's format, but they are not the official test, and the real questions may differ.

3. Content accuracy

We work to keep the content accurate and up to date with the official study material. However, laws, policies and the test itself can change, and mistakes can happen. The content is general information only, not legal or migration advice. Always check the official information published by the Department of Home Affairs, including the official citizenship test resource book. If you find an error, please tell us.

4. PRO purchases

PRO unlocks the app's premium features. The features included are described in the app at the time of purchase. Prices are shown in the app, in your local currency, before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account.

4.1 Monthly subscription and free trial

4.2 Lifetime purchase

4.3 Earlier plans

If you bought an earlier PRO plan (for example, a weekly subscription), it continues on the terms you agreed to when you bought it. You can manage it in your store account settings.

4.4 Restoring purchases

PRO is linked to your App Store or Google Play account, not to a login in the app. If you reinstall the app or get a new device, use Restore Purchases in the app while signed in to the same store account.

5. Refunds

Apple or Google processes all payments, so refund requests are handled by them under their policies:

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 8).

6. Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial study. You must not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app or its content, or try to get around its purchase checks, except where the law allows it.

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If it conflicts with these Terms, these Terms prevail to the extent the conflict allows. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

7. Intellectual property

We or our licensors own the app, its design and its original content. Official government materials that the app refers to remain the property of their owners.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Limitation of liability

Subject to section 8, and to the extent the law allows:

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here and change the effective date. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated Terms. Changes won't affect a subscription period you have already paid for.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts that can hear appeals from them.
